Virat Kohli, who could not score a century in any format of cricket for the last 30 months, has said that he is in the happiest phase of his life and is enjoying moving forward in life. This statement of Virat has come at a time when his fans are very disappointed due to lack of performance in IPL 2022 as well. In 13 matches of this season, Virat has scored 236 runs at a simple average of 19.67. RCB has also borne the brunt of Virat’s poor form and the team is on the verge of being knocked out of the playoffs.

Ahead of his last IPL-15 league match against Gujarat Titans on Monday, the former RCB captain spoke openly about his poor form and joining RCB as just a player. During this, Kohli looked quite comfortable about his current phase in his cricket.

Kohli said – for me the most valuable thing is to experience and learn. Such bad times keep coming and going. Most important to me is to appreciate myself as a human being. In this difficult period, I am able to do this thing more than before. So this is the happiest period of my life.

Whatever happens in cricket doesn’t reduce my self worth

Looking at Virat Kohli’s poor form, fans are worrying about the upcoming T20 World Cup from now on, but Virat does not consider it a problem.

Virat Kohli said about his poor form in cricket that whatever my performance on the field, I do not judge my importance by that, it does not reduce my self-worth. Now I have risen above all these things. My job is just to play and I always do that with full passion. You can control only a few things in life and I work hard on that. The day I feel that my passion for playing is waning, I will quit cricket.

Virat further said- It does not matter to me how my individual performance is on the cricket field. My focus is only on whether I am able to contribute to my team’s victory. If it doesn’t, I’m disappointed.

Virat Kohli has been able to score only one fifty in the current season of IPL.

My bonding with Faf is good, he is the captain, but I have also got the freedom to adjust the field

On joining RCB as a player after captaining RCB for eight years, Virat said that not playing as captain is a little different but not difficult.

Virat said- My bonding with Faf has always been good. Even though the captain is Faf, we have a leadership group in the team in which we keep giving our opinion. Faf has given me the freedom that I can adjust the field according to the need on the field. The same thing used to happen when Dhoni and I used to play in the India team. I love it when the team sees me as a responsible player and I am able to contribute for the team.

Virat has not been able to score any century in international cricket since November 2019.

RCB’s last league match in IPL today

Royal Challengers Bangalore’s last league match in IPL-15 today is against top-running Gujarat Titans. Currently, RCB are at number five in the points table with 14 points from 13 matches. Negative run rate is a matter of great concern for RCB. If RCB lose today’s match then their way to the playoffs will be very difficult.
